Kayaking with a Side of Tacos & Meteors
Helloooo!
I'm Jesica Clemmons from Blairsville, Georgia and I have a small business making Appalachian inspired soaps & candles called, Sunrise Wick & Wash. I supply Sunrise Grocery, my Etsy shop and FIND Outdoors (formally Cradle of Forestry) in several of their national forest locations in Georgia and North Carolina. I love anything outdoors, spending time with family, reading, traveling, history and learning about the different cultures both in the United States and around the globe that make our world go ’round. I am currently working on becoming a registered yoga instructor and hope to forever be a yoga student.
My husband and I have a little shop in Blairsville, right at the foot of Blood Mountain called, Sunrise Grocery. We sell local goodies like photography (by Jason!), pottery, handmade soaps & candles (by me!), honey, jam, knitting (by Nanny!), and local-grown fruits and veggies. Blairsville is a beautiful, small mountain town surrounded by the Appalachians and graced by Vogel State Park and Georgia’s highest point, Brasstown Bald. Jason & I have three kiddos, well, they’re not so much kiddos, they’re actually full-grown adults, but you know how that goes. We’re so proud of them and adore the time we get to spend with them. We also have two spoiled doggie brothers who will be traveling with me most of the time and one cat who, in true cat fashion, hates being in the car so she holds the fort down for us while we’re gone.
My hubby, Jason, is a published photographer who’s images have been featured in several magazines, the Atlanta airport, local businesses and beyond. He co-teaches photography workshops with FIND Outdoors. Also, he and Chris Greer have a television series on Georgia Public Broadcasting called, View Finders, that began airing in April of ’22. He loves exploring the outdoors and photography and is talented in bringing them together to produce some beautiful art!
Thanks for stopping by! Cheers!
~Jesica
