Yesterday some of our favorite things came together giving us what we would consider a perfect day. A lot of people who come in Sunrise tell us they don't have the time to do the things we do. When this happens we always try to convince them that isn't true. We work a...

I have always been somewhat of an old soul. I became a teenager at the time when technology was beginning to explode. The Internet was taking off and cell phones were coming into play. At that age I didn't give it much thought that from that point forward we would n...

Jason and I have a thing for wide open views, especially ones which are 360 degrees. There is just something special about being able to see such a vast amount of earth with mountains stacked like waves. I guess it would be similar to what an ant may feel when standing...

As you drive into Vogel State Park it is as if you're transferred to a different state of mind. That old saying, "leave your troubles at the door," seems to come naturally as soon as you pass the entrance. It isn't hard to understand why, either. It is home to some of...

We are Jason and Jesica Clemmons and we live in the beautiful North Georgia Mountains with our three kiddos.  Jason is a photographer and I am an Appalachian inspired soap-maker. We also have Sunrise Grocery in Blairsville, Georgia. We sell local items like our photography, soap, knitting, local pottery, jams & jellies, honey and other unique, local goodies.  We started Souled in Appalachia because we feel our souls are deeply rooted in these mountains and we love exploring, shooting photos & videos and writing about them. Our mountains are full of history, culture, stories, and remarkable views. We feel more connected to them & our souls fed with every outing. We would love for you to join us on these journeys via blogs, videos & photography. Our hope is that we can bring it to you in a way that makes you feel the same passion we do and that you will become, Souled in Appalachia.
